Chapter 91: I can't be the only one blamed

*Jane*

When Mara had pulled me, I let out a small wince.”Ahh.”

Mara was caught by my wince. Her face suddenly changed to a discoloring one. “What's wrong? Did I hurt you?” She sounded anxious, her face almost pale.

I pursed my lips, with my expression ugly, as I used my hand to describe. “It hurt a little.”

“Oh I'm sorry Jane.”

Although when I said it hurt I wasn't lying. When Mara grabbed me, I didn't expect it, so I shifted, making her nails scratch my skin. However, my whole reaction seems a little exaggerated.

“It's fine.” I said, with my expression still looking hurtful.

Mara pursed her lips in silence. Even though she was being silent, I could tell she wasn't calm inward. I felt a touch of warmth inside of me, however I still wanted to get worked up as a punishment for refusing to tell me how her days went when she left the castle.

After a minute,I couldn't bear seeing her guilty face anymore. I ached inwardly knowing I really wasn't hurt yet I got Mara all anxious and sad.
