She couldn't sleep the whole night and kept weeping silently on the window sofa gazing out of the glass at the dark inky sky.

He didn't warn her not to escape because he might already know she won't try again. After all, it was useless.

Her heart was in pain and her mind was in chaos. She felt claustrophobic.

The next day she stayed in her room. Parco was the one who brought her dinner at night. Despite her rejection, he didn't leave her room until she had at least half of the soup.

Though the man didn't know what she was going through yet he could see her turmoil as he told her that everything would get better before he left her alone.

Everything would get better? How? When? She didn't know.

She just wanted to breathe. Evelyn left her room and made her way to the backyard. The cool breeze had her shivering. Her eyes fell on the pool lit with dim lights as she made her way to it.
