He noticed that her thumb was bleeding lightly. Did she try to drink her blood? Maybe that was why her eyes had changed.

"L...leave me alone," she whispered shakily, pushing him away but he didn't move.

His dark eyes flitted over her face and to his utter surprise, she looked more alluring to him. The silver of her eyes glimmered because of the brimming tears. The rough pad of his thumb moved her lower lip out of her harsh biting and it was bruised now.

Axel softly stroked it to ease the pain. Their eyes met again as he maintained contact.

"You are beautiful," He didn't even know when those words from the depth of his heart slipped his lips. She has been crying.

Axel moved her strands away from her sweaty forehead. He was supposed to be disgusted by finding her in her true form but God knows why he was drawn to her. Like a moth to the flame.
