ELEANOR

We were getting near the border when I noticed a weird scent laced through the air. I couldn't pinpoint what it is, but I could feel it in my bones that it was something...dangerous.

My wolf growls lowly, and I urge her to glance around for a moment, halting in her tracks. She sniffs the air as I instructed her to. Trying to see if she can find anything out of the ordinary in these parts.

'Found anything?' I ask, and Ares simply shook her head though she acknowledged something felt really off. My entire body was tingling, and I wasn't sure if it was from excitement, or some other feeling brought by the effects of this pregnancy.

'Why did you stop?' Laura asks, walking closer to us in her small wolf form.

I find myself panting heavily, as though I had drained all my energy out from running a few miles away from the packhouse.

'Just tired,' I reply, hoping she would stop questioning me any further.

I didn't tell her about my pregnancy, hoping I'd be able to tell Alexander first

Now her scent is honey, vanilla and dew? First it was strawberries, then strawberry and vanilla, then just vanilla, then it was lavender and then it was lavender and strawberries. Now it’s honey, vanilla and dew. Oh my goodness!
