Chapter Fifty Four: Acceptance

JASON'S POV

When she collapsed to the ground and began crying, I made a beeline for her immediately. I was perplexed as to why she was sobbing, and I initially believed that it was because of me; yet, when I brought her close to me, she did not put up any resistance.

"Hey, hey, it's okay". She probably broke down in tears because the entire thing that she had heard, in addition, the sensation that she had just discovered was so overpowering that the only way she could get some of it out was by weeping.

"When I was younger, I had a family, a mother and a father, and even a house! I have spent my entire life feeling so isolated, feeling rejected and abandoned, and having the belief that I am not deserving of love; yet, what you have just shared with me has erased all of those beliefs that I had accumulated in my head."
