Chapter Forty Four: Play ALong

Ava's POV

I got to the Mariana which was the location Aiden had sent me, and honestly, I wasn't in love with the external features of "The Mariana." The exterior was quite understated, lacking the charm or allure I usually seek in a restaurant. Its faded sign hinted at a once-vibrant establishment, now weather-worn and slightly neglected. The paint on the walls seemed to have lost its luster, carrying a dull, off-white hue. The windows, though clean, didn't showcase anything enticing; they were tinted and unadorned, leaving no glimpse of what the inside looked like. The architecture felt outdated, lacking the modern appeal that usually draws me in. A couple of wilted potted plants near the entrance attempted to add some greenery but only highlighted the overall lack of care. Overall, the ambiance projected a sense of mediocrity that didn't align with my preferences for an inviting dining experience but I decided to not judge a book by its cover.
