Heartbroken mate

Jake was searching for Destiny. He hoped that now that the ceremony was cancelled she would've run to him instead of running off, but he also felt like now was the time to act. He moved through the crowd, wishing he'd been closer to the tree line. The visiting Alphas and guests were being managed by, Sam, who took over for Jake and told everyone to head outside. The flux of people moving made it impossible for Jake to squeeze out.

“Jake wait.” Serra's voice carried over the crowd.
