It had been a week since Jengo agreed to train Ellie again. Unlike the first time she was put through the special training, Ellie did not have that hard a time going through them. The regime was the same as last time, and they were extremely challenging, but her body was not screaming in agony throughout the process. Even Jengo found it amazing how she managed to keep up with him, albeit barely. In the time the two werewolves spent together training, the relationship between them also improved. Things were rocky at first, but after working out the first few times, the pair finally got along, somewhat. One would not say they were friends, but at the very least neither were hostile to one another. Seeing them at this way, without any sort of conflict going on between them, caught many by surprise. Specifically those who thought/knew those two would never get along, given their relationship with William. Speaking of the Alpha, he has also noticed the change between his mate and Beta. A
William… was tired. He was exhausted, he was pooped, he was… just tired. ‘How many incidents does this make…?’ he wondered, for he had to make amends to another werewolf accused of being a traitor. He lost count of the number of times he had done this, just as much as he lost count of the number of times he told the werewolves aware of the pack’s hidden situation to be ‘delicate’ about the matter. And he was sure he had repeated himself to several of those wolves a good amount of times now. Yet… instead of having an easier time with his job, it’s only been getting more and more troublesome. “Sometimes, I have to wonder if those werewolves I kept warning are those spies…” he muttered to himself. He wanted to take that as a possibility, but those very wolves he spoke of? Some of those were elders who had been loyal to the Devorare Pack long before he was born, when his father ruled. Such old geezers like them would obviously be extremely overprotective of their home. As for the rest?
Ellie and Jengo sat in Samantha's office, waiting for the healer to give them permission to leave. Ellie had just finished a checkup on Samantha's insistence, and even told her of the exhaustion she was going through, when the strangest thing happened. Not on her, as it was more on the healer's side. Earlier when the healer was giving Ellie a checkup on her condition, she had an assistant here. However, after the examination, after Ellie gave details about what her body went through in all that exhaustion, Samantha whispered something to her assistant, and had her leave the office. Once she left, Jengo- who had been waiting outside the whole time- looked into the room, asked if everything was okay in there. After Samantha assured him that everything was fine, she had him enter the place, and thus led to the stiuation they were in now. "Is... something wrong with me, Samantha? You've been working on those herbs for a while now," Ellie asked, watching the healer make some medicine. "E
"You two are going to be parents~" Many eyes widened in utter bafflement upon the news Samantha dropped. Parents? Ellie and... William...? "A-Are you sure about that? Are you positive you're not mistaking it for something else? A prank it may not be, Samantha, giving false hopes like this will also be considered as offensive," Jengo questioned. "The symptoms are all there. Ellie practically helped confirm that," Samantha said, her happy expression unchanged. "This will be an incredible news to tell everyone! Especially with-" "Samantha!" Jengo shouted, causing the healer to jump from his tone. "I am not kidding. Do NOT give false news!" This time, the smile Samantha had slowly faded, especially at the reminder of who Jengo was completely. "I did try to warn you against staying here, Beta Jengo. I understand if you're a little upset, but it is what it is." Jengo ran a hand over his face, still having a hard time to fully accept what he was hearing. He was upset that Ellie truly g
As Jen left Samantha's place, William rushed after him. "Jen! Wait!" he called out. Some time of running later, the pair stopped at a familiar area right outside their pack. It was day time, with the sun now high enough to shine light to the surface, but William recognized the place; it was the very spot where he and Jen had their stargazing date. Standing not far from him was none other than Jen, who was looking up at the clouds above. "You really didn't need to follow me, you know..." Jen told him, unable to look at his boyfriend in the eyes. "Of course I had to follow you. We're boyfriends," William told him. "For how much longer?" At that question, Jen turned to face the Alpha, eyes starting to get a bit teary as he took in a breath. "I won't force anything onto you, William... I know better than to do that. I just... I know you promised me that you would always be looking at me, having feelings for me and not Ellie. But- and I won't blame you for it. It's something that can ne
After Ellie was given a list of things she should and should not do and eat by Samantha and Phila, she was allowed to return to her house. The list was not entirely strict enough that she should be following it completely now, so to say. However, according to the healers, once she reaches her second or third trimester- when her body undergoes more changes- that was when Ellie should best heed to the list they gave her. As she arrived at her house, as she had expected, Ashina and Morgan were there, waiting for her return. Well, Morgan was calmly waiting for her. Ashina, on the other hand, seemed frantic when Ellie saw her, and not because Ellie was not home when they arrived, for the pair knew Jengo was giving her special training in the day and night. As it would turn out, when the pair first arrived and noticed her lack of presence in the house, Ashina and Morgan decided to wait for her return. As the time passed, though, it should've been time for her to return, which worried the p
With William, the Alpha werewolf made his way back to his house. As he walked, he pondered on how he can call the authority werewolves in for that meeting about the condition of their Pack. 'I suppose I can just call it an emergency meeting. WIth everything that's been going on these days, that's long been overdue,' he thought. 'And you think that's enough?' Liam asked. 'Surely you know as well as I do that a simple meet isn't going to be enough. Especially if you're just going to call on some werewolves instead of all of them. Especially not with how far gone these idiots are for these damn accidents to happen.' 'I know that. However, I have 'dismissed' more than enough people for various reasons. Furthermore, I have lost contact to the werewolves I had sent on that spy mission on the Liberal Pack. Adding on the state of this questionable war... I don't want to lose any more of my people, Liam.' 'And I understand that. But you know you cannot continue things like this. What happen
That night, many werewolves gathered in the plaza at William's order. At first, some people did not believe Nelson when the guy told them that William ordered for this meeting to happen- specifically the overly cautious authority werewolves. Thankfully, Jengo came by and confirmed the message, as well as helped spread word. While the Beta did not know why the meeting has changed into a public setting for all werewolves, he knew William well enough; he knew something must've happened that called for a large gathering. Amongst the werewolves that gathered, Ellie was also there. She was quite puzzled when she was told to attend by Jengo, but quickly came to realize what the meeting may be about. 'He did announce that we were mates to the mass,' she recalled. 'It'd be no surprise if he wanted to do the same about my pregnancy. And like back then... he won't care about me after that, nor about the position he'll leave me in...' As she remembered the announcement that time, Ellie felt her
