Chapter Fifty

MAX’ POV

I stood outside my house. It was the house where I’d spent all my childhood and also much of my adulthood. It was the biggest house in the homeland. It had been built hundreds of years ago by the founding father of my pack, my ancestor. However, it had undergone renovations over the years with the last renovation being a few years ago. Yet, the size and splendor of the house never seemed to take my breath away. We’d all resorted to calling it, Moon Castle. Castle was a more fitting tittle for it more than house really.

I spared a glance at Amelia and saw that she wasn’t sharing the same sentiments as I did. She had been awfully quiet on the drive here and even now, she was staring at her feet; looking very pale and frail.

Our arrival had gone unnoticed. I hadn’t told anyone what day we’d be arriving just for the element of surprise. Not to ruin the surprise, I’d driven into the estate from an unused entrance from the west gate. I’d cut off the main town and its surrounding
