Chapter Forty - Nine

ALEXIS’ POV

I got up early the next morning; just at the crack of dawn. I was expectant. Was today the day Max would take me to his home land? Yes, he’d mentioned it, but we hadn’t fixed a date for it. Knowing Max and how he didn’t waste time with the execution of his plans, it felt like he could do something like that; ask us to travel that day.

Whether or not we did travel that day, I began to pack anyway. I didn’t know for how long we would be gone, and I really loved the closet Max had prepared for me and was confident in those clothes. So, I packed at my liberty. Luckily, I found some empty suitcases in the walk-in-closet, so I filled them with clothes, shoes, underwear and what not. My stomach would likely grow bigger in that place and we might not be able to go shopping there, so I took that into consideration when I decided what dress to take or what not to.
