Chapter Ninety - Five

LUKE'S POV

I wanted nothing more but to get this shit over with and got back to the mansion to see the doctor that was currently taking care of Eve.

She had been down for days now, and no matter what they do, she hasn't responded to treatments.

I had gotten a call earlier from Brenda and was told that it wasn't going well. That irked me badly.

She had to survive, and she would!

"I was forced to be here and had to eat to survive." The young lad mumbled, his eyes meeting mine.

He had the nerve.

"How dare you?" I growled, and he shuddered, probably because of how deep my voice was.

I glared at the little lad who had dared to defy me.

"You are no King to us, Luke." For the first time in so many years, someone called me by my name, and it wasn't someone greater like my rival, but a little lad I had taken under my wings, someone who fed from my hands.
