Chapter 49

Alpha Axel's POV

As I walked into the dungeon, I could feel the tension in the air. The guards looked up as I entered, their expressions wary.

"Make sure no one gets in here, especially Athena," I warned them. "If anything happens to the prisoners before the interrogation, your heads will be on the chopping block."

The guards nodded nervously, understanding the gravity of my threat. I turned on my heel and made my way back to Rachel's room, hoping to find her there.

But when I entered, the room was empty. I frowned, wondering where she could have gone. I pulled out my phone and dialed her number.

"Rachel, where are you?" I asked as soon as she picked up.

"I'm out running some errands," she replied. "Is everything okay?"

I hesitated, debating whether to tell her about my suspicions about Racheal or not.

But before I could say anything, she continued, "I'll be back soon. Don't worry, I'll be safe."

I sighed, relieved that she was okay. "Just be careful, okay? I'll see you when you get
