Chapter 60 - The Prisoner

LEA'S POV

I thought I was going to meet mom at home but I didn't see her. I looked everywhere and called her to no avail. I wonder where she went to. She's not usually going out by this time of the day. I waited in the living room and got myself a drink to calm down. I was alone in the house, it felt empty without mom.

Then I started to hear sounds when I thought I was alone. I realized that mom's prisoner, the one who betrayed her is also here. She seems to be calling for something. Mom's not here to help her, I should fill in since there's no one to. Mom needs her alive, there's no way mom would want her to die now.

I walked towards the direction where the sound is coming from. I stopped in front of a room downstairs around the basement. I finally heard what she was saying when I got there. I don't know why I felt bad for her immediately.

"Water... Please water..." She said faintly. I could not see her face.
