Valerie’s POV

“Wake up, sleepy head. It’s almost noon!” Maverick nudged me, trying to get me to wake up.

“Go away, I just fell asleep an hour ago!” I respond sleepily, hearing him laugh so hard that you would think that he was at a comedy show.

“And what were you doing all night?” He teased me, coming up to lay beside me on the bed, pulling me into his arms, and kissing me so passionately.
