Daniel P. O. V
A deep sigh left me when I entered my bedroom door to find my angry mate sitting on the sofa, reading a magazine and completely ignoring me. Archie is not talking to me because of sudden changes in my plans which she is not happy about. I tried to make things better for us but nothing works, she is saying nothing at all to me.
I had a romantic vacation planned for both of us. I guess it was never about to happen anyway as that feels so unreal to be true.
Alex called on the night before we were about to leave and eventually we had to change our plans.
Today I have to leave for the capital and leave Archi behind with my pack's protection. From what Alex told me he settled most things himself but we are talking about Darkland here, you never k
Amber P. O. V After saving the world from World War 3, I was rewarded with delicious cuisine which was made by Ryn's mother. She invited us to have dinner with her family, actually, she particularly invited me as she was afraid of Alex and trying to hide it pretty well. I didn't know the reason behind it, but something seems to be wrong here. These people are trying to mask their fear but not succeeding quite well, nor is Alex being in his usual nice self with them either. From what I came to know of Alex, he never behaves roughly to anyone for no reason. My inner genius is dying to figure out the cause even though I tried to ask many times but got nothing in return. It's itching my inner self as I'm dying to know the reason behind it. Guess I have to wait till
Ammy P. O. V Ryn's eyes are showing the different emotions dancing in it, it's not menacing, more like desperation or helplessness. She might not be aware that she is hurting me. Before I could say or do anything I was forcefully dragged out of her hold by a much stronger force. "How dare you hurt her! You sure have a death wish for yourself, you little prisoner!" A growl boomed in my eardrums. Prisoner?! What nonsense is he talking about? I know he isn't very fond of this species but this is too much! "What the hell are you talking about, Alex! You can't say rubbish about Ryn just like that." I shouted, freeing me from his grip which is challenging for me of course.
Lynn P. O. V Till now things are going as planned. If everything goes as we wanted, it's not far when I would be free of her debt. And don't have to be part of anyone's twisty games. With the chirping of birds, I woke up to embrace the new day and get ready to meet my father. I'm excited to see him in person. Yeah, I talked with him twice through calls since I arrived here. He didn't say much back then, nor did he approve of my relationship with Athen and our unborn baby completely. I'm aware of this fact but still, I have little hope left which says he will soon. I strolled to Athen's room to find it empty. It's not the first time after Jolly moves out, Athen hardly comes to sleep in his room, even drowning himself at work and hardly getting any rest. You can tell this from the dark circles under his eyes
Author P. O. V William sees Eleanor leaving his office after hearing his plans for the current situation. From the years spent with Eleanor he is well aware his dearest wife was not satisfied with his plans to settle this matter. He knows it's a waste to stop her because eventually she will do what seems right to her no matter how many times William asks her to not take rash decisions. Only if she heard him in the first place and not went to the human world to visit Ammy so the situation didn't go so far. When they both make sure to keep hidden from years. William shook his head as thought of his wife's next moves crossed his mind, which he was sure she was going to do. He doesn't blame her even though they are both doing this to save the most important person to them…. their daughter. ***
Unknown P. O. V In the darkness of the night, not a ray of moonlight peeking inside the room. Which seems not less than a queen's suit must belong to an important person as the entire room screams of mighty power. Inside the room is a dark throne-like chair sitting right next to the big glass window which shows the view of the entire city beneath the window surface. Nothing more than a silhouette could be made of the person inside the room. It's hard to tell if it's male or female. Loud footsteps boomed in the background before the front door of the suite crack opened by the intruder. Light escapes inside the room showing a woman sitting on the chair, wearing a red fitting suit which gives her an aura of all high and mighty. She is holding a glass o
Ammy P. O. V Things get messy, the crowd gets afraid to heat up as the minutes pass by. With Ryn out of the picture and a heated argument going on between two Alphas, the room's temperature is pretty much heated. We don't want to make things more complicated. But I don't know how to clear up this misunderstanding. It's hard to break the belief upon which these people have been living here for centuries. If I were in their shoes I would have the same mindset. I can't even imagine the burden each and every one carries here on their souls as Ryn. They all are tagged with the label of prisoner's for the actions which are not done by them. These people keep locked here far away from the normal life that other species of Darkland are enjoying, when these
Ryn P. O. V I begged my father to listen to me, to give us a chance to explain but he didn't listen a single word and ordered his guards to lock me in my room. The relationship between my father and me was limited to our clan business. We are not like normal father-daughter. Even at home we only talked to each other when it related to the clan's work. I don't feel bad about it anymore, I already passed that point and made peace with myself. I was aware of what was going to happen. That's why I had already formed a counter plan to cope with it. If they are thinking I'm going to stay here to cry my eyes out or feel sorry so it's their fault. I jumped on my feet and grabbed my weapons out of the drawer to stuff it in my leather boats. Before I make my way to
Ammy P. O. V The sound of metal lock clicking made contact with my eardrums. In the darkness of a cold cell, even a pin drop noise magnifies to the next level. I snapped my neck in that direction and blinked many times to clear my view to lock at the person entering inside the cell. For my human sight, it's not easy to make out an image in the dark, all I can make out is the silhouette of a tall figure. But it's not enough to tell who this person is. "Who's there?" I asked in confusion when that person didn't utter a word and just stood there observing me from far away. Despite answering my question, loud footsteps moved in my way, making me scrunched back in my seat, in the back of the corner of the cell. Silver l
