CHLOE'S POV:

“What do you want from us, mister stranger?” I spoke as the two men came into the hut where I and Abigail stayed and stared at us before focusing more on Abigail.

“I guess you must have missed the road, and this place isn't the right place for you to be. This place isn't a path to follow; this is my little home." Abigail spoke up while looking at the two men staring at her with no iota of fear in her voice.

The two men, who were clothed in black attire that covered their heads until their toes, exchanged glances, a silent communication passing between them. It was unnerving the way they synchronized without uttering a single word.

As they approached Abigail, their movements were calculated, and I could sense an ominous energy surrounding them.

Without warning, they reached Abigail and seized her hands, their grip firm. I tensed, ready to intervene, but Abigail remained surprisingly composed. "Release me," she commanded, her tone unwavering.
