Chapter 61

Naomi's POV

For more than five minutes, I was hanging upside down like a bat, thanks to my dress which was caught in the truck, otherwise, I would have broken a bone or two.

Taking a deep breath, I tried to get myself off the tree but the more I tried, the harder it became and so I gave up trying only to start looking around the garden.

This went one for a while until I saw a heavy fruit had been suspended in the tree, making its way downwards.

“Dammit!” I muttered and soon, I was standing on the ground, my head tilted to the side as I stared at the large fruit on the ground.

Not knowing the kind of fruit it was, I kicked it aside and then walked out of the garden since I had lost interest in being here.

Once in my room, I flopped on the bed and then dialed Cassie's contact, hoping at the same time that she was home and not in the hospital.

Just like I wanted, she picked up on the first ring and then went ahead to inform me it was her day off which meant we have a lot of time to ourse
