Chapter 87

Reader's POV

Everyone's hand was on deck as they prepared for Cassie's mating ceremony which was going to take place under the full moon.

Meanwhile, Cassie and Wren were in her room that morning while all preparation was taking place. He had taken off his mask the previous night after speaking with Naomi.

“How are you going to present yourself to her now?” Cassie asked with her hands crossed on her chest.

“I don't know. Alpha Baron, called not long ago, she already reached out to him.” He shrugged, pushing his hand into his hair.

Smiling, Cassie rose and with her hands wrapped across her chest, she began to imagine the look of surprise that was sure to appear on the faces of her mockers later that night.

They all felt she was getting mated to an old man and so her peers were making fun of her non stop. According to her favorite maids, she got to know they were going to grace the ceremony just to see her being mated to someone who was equivalent to her father.
