Staring at Norton's angry mother, I mustered the strength to speak, my voice filled with remorse. "Alpha Norton, I am so sorry," I managed to utter, my words weighed down by the heaviness of the situation.

Alpha Norton, still facing away from me, nodded silently. His gesture conveyed a mix of understanding and resignation as if he had anticipated this outcome. "Theda, it's alright."
