Tyler POV

I was in my room thinking about the party that would start about three hours from now, and I was ready for it. I didn't know what was going on and what would happen, but something told me that the Alpha King would not just call for a banquet.

Something was telling me that it was not right, and my instincts seemed to be flowing in the depths of basicity.

Blake walked into the room, handing over to me the expensive suit he had specially prepared for me and was smiling.

"That kind of smile running across your lips tells me that you're ready for a mate tonight," I teased.

"Well, this is not a Blood Moon or the fucking gathering that we attend every year. This is a special banquet to celebrate the Alpha King and his so-called son."

"You can find your mate anywhere, you know. I've heard of people who found their mates where they never expected it. It's an opportunity to find the other you, the half of yourself, and you have to grab it."
