Chapter 07~ A Second Chance

Emily:

I took two steps backwards. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, or who was standing right in front of me. "Am I dead?" Tears rolled down my eyes as I asked, with my hands trembling as I spoke.

I had no idea where I was before, but now I do.

"What about my baby, am I really dead?"

I definitely had no idea how I died, or how I came to this place. It felt like I had been walking for ages. "I can't be dead… I.."

She came close to me and laid two of her fingers on my forehead. I gasped for air, raising my head high up as my veins turned visible. When she let go, my weak legs made me fall on the floor, and tears rolled down my eyes. I remembered everything.

"I'm dead. I really am dead."

I curled my hands on the floor, whimpering. "This can't be, I can't be dead. I don't deserve to die, especially when I had a little pup inside of me."
