Chapter 15~ A Warning

EMILY:

I was tired, and weak. Immediately I stepped out of the operating room, I leaned on the wall rubbing the sweat on my forehead clean with my palm. I heaved deeply and then stood upright when Christian came out as well.

"You did great!" He commented.

I didn't smile or even spare him a glance. Instead, I avoided his gaze completely.

It was 6 Days ago I signed the contract, and it was also six days ago I had started looking after Lilith. "Come to my office when you freshen up, I need to discuss something with you." He said.

I immediately averted my gaze to him. I raised my wrist and stared at my wristwatch. It was getting late, and almost past my work time.

"Mr Christian… I need…"

"It'll only be for a minute."

I had told him to hide my real name from everyone since he was the only one who knew it. I heaved deeply and Talia stepped out from the room.

"Dr. Gray, we have another emergency patient. He's not in here, but his family called, and it's urgent.

"I'll get everything ready…"
