Chapter 24: A Shoulder

EMILY'S POV:

Throughout the ride back home, I was silent. I didn't say a word to Christian no matter how hard he tried to say a word to me.

My wolf was infuriated at the sight of Tyler, but my heart wasn't. It always belonged to Tyler, and somehow, I still felt it did.

The car finally halted. Christian tried to talk to me again, but I just ignored him and walked out of the car. I began to head into the house, and when I got in, I headed straight for my room to be alone. This was a moment in my life where I had to think of my past.

I slammed the door and rushed towards the bed, using a pillow to cover my face as I cried in it. Everything was hurting so much, especially because I had seen Tyler smile. It felt like he was happy, and that I was the only one suffering and thinking about him and the past.

I heard a knock on the door, but I had to completely ignore it. A few seconds later, I heard Christian's voice.

"I'm sorry, Emily." He said.

It wasn't his fault because he had no idea that
