A loud scoff escaped my mouth as I stood at the entrance of my room. I could clearly hear the argument between Mia and Shane, but I was too worried to intervene. It even dawn to me when she uttered that Christian had no idea what happened between them in the past and she had been rejected that until the last moment, Mia tried everything to protect Shane, even sacrificing her own happiness.

Why the hell would Shane do that to her... That was betrayal but since I couldn't judge, I didn't want to blame him without hearing his side of the issue and his reason.
