Chapter 44

I woke up in terrible pain. My body fell apart as if every part had been taken apart. I want to move, but I can't. My finger moved just a little, and it hurt.

I slowly opened my eyes, and my eyes were still a dramatic black that was no different from when I closed my eyes. All around me, there were all kinds of small insect calls. I am familiar with it because I have lived in the forest long.

I can feel some insects crawling on me. I was extremely thirsty and hungry, but then I didn't care anymore because the pain all over my body paralyzed my nerves.

I was in so much pain that I wanted to pass out again, but I still stayed awake to remember what had happened to me. My head hurts like it's about to burst. Several images flashed through my mind, reminding me that someone had hit me unexpectedly. Maybe after that person knocked me out and threw me into the ravine, I'm lying in a deep ravine.

I tried to remember who hit me but couldn't because I didn't see him then. But I guess it was a
