Chapter Thirty-Five- Chase

I watched as my mate left with no looking back and my chest puffed up in pride when I heard her exclaim to Jacob, that I was her first and only mate. I looked back at Jacob and saw him looking sad and with regret. Seems like he did hope for a chance with her but now with her words spoken he knows he has lost.

“I think that is enough punishment for one day,” I say as I lock up the silver door to the torcher room where he hangs from. I peek through the bars from the window and smirk at him. “Well, maybe one more as I take my mate tonight in my arms. I will come up with a punishment later for you that fits your crime. Who knows maybe a slow agonizing death will fit the punishment.”

With that I turn and walk to leave when I hear from the cell where Jacob is; a roar of agony so loud it about rattled the walls. I just kept walking.

I am not usually heartless only with those who threaten my family or pack. And what Jacob has caused to my mate is a death sentence. He will suffer greatly just
