Alpha Atticus

“So, how is it going to be, Atticus? A rejection or do you want me to fuck her senseless in front of you?” Philip laughed maniacally.

There is no way he will see me crumble at his feet, I may be battered and on the brink of death but I’m an Alpha. I heaved a deep breath and said sternly, “I will get you for this, Philip, mark my words.” It took me a lot to look at my mate, the only woman I have ever wanted as she is shedding her tears in silence.

“I, Atticus Rudolf Greenway, Alpha of the Greenway Pack, reject you, Lady Viviane Sinclair as my mate and righteous Luna. I set you free of the mate's bond. May the goddess forgive us.”

Tears of impotence welling in my eyes are the only thing I feel now that the bond has been severed. With each word came an unbearable pain, like hot coils rubbed against my chest. I felt my heart break in many tiny pieces but I had no choice but to comply with Philip’s wish.
