Chapter 39

Stella pov

The room fell silent. The band stood on the stage, holding their instruments at their sides, looking for a sign whether to start up a new song or not. I kept my focus solely on my Father. He was inching closer, his body stumbling ever so slightly from all the alcohol he had consumed.

I could feel the rage flooding through Trevor’s body through the bond. One more move, and he would attack.

“You are such a disgrace.” My father hissed through clenched teeth. I stood my ground, not looking away or reacting. He was trying to get a reaction out of me. “We raised you better than this!” He pointed a finger at my alpha. I growled a little, Trevor’s hand gripping my forearm ever so slightly. “You left your pack for a man. You bred for him. Brought pups into a world where their parents don’t belong together. You made a mistake.”
