AMBER’S POV

Alpha Logan had startled Hannah and I greatly.

Did he hear our conversation? It could be possible that one of his men overheard me when I shouted saying that he was a murderer. I think he’s here to kill me for saying that. This was what Hannah warned me about. It’s good he only heard when I insulted him. If he had overheard Hannah and I, it would be drastic for Hannah. I wouldn’t want my words to put Hannah in trouble, I thought.

I boldly rose up from the bed and yelled. “It wasn’t Hannah’s fault. It was all my fault!”

Alpha Logan glared at me with a puzzled look on his face. “What are you talking about? I only came here to inquire if you’re being taken care of. What fault were you talking about?”

“Uh—uhm, you see, I was only talking about—forget about it. Why are you here?” I stuttered.

Logan stared at me once again, the tip of my fingers went cold.

“How is her company?” Logan asked.

“Great! I mean, what company?” I asked, wearing a weird smile on my face.
