But suddenly, the oppressive atmosphere hit us like a wave. The air was thick with the scent of mildew and decay. A chill ran down my spine, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that we were not alone. And then, suddenly, a blood-curdling howl shattered the silence, making us jump with fear. It was coming from behind us, and it sounded so close, so menacing, that we knew we were in trouble.

We stood still, frozen in anticipation as the deafening sound of his voice pierced through the silence. We didn't need to turn around to confirm our suspicions; we knew exactly who it was. His voice grew even louder as he bellowed out the one word that sealed his identity: "Mate!"

We spun around to face the source of the noise.
