Chapter two

“How did it go” Jen asked as soon as Amber walk in through the door, she was eager to hear how her friend performed, Amber fidgeted on her feet and bit her lower lip as she usually does when she is nervous, Jen studied her friend closely and said “that bad huh" Amber quickly shake her head saying “no, no, no, I mean I think I did okay in there but I might have embarrassed myself” Jen looked her her friend from the top of her head to her toe and exclaimed, her mouth widely opened from the shock “Amb!! Look at your rumpled top, how did you end up with a rumpled top for an interview" “Well, I didn’t plan to wear a rumpled cloth but during the bus ride, there was a woman with a cute baby who spilled water on me, not on purpose though but it got my clothe rumpled and I was running out of time and couldn’t go back home to change" Amber said and took a deep breath “do you think I can still get the job" Amber asked feeling downcast, Jen went to stand beside her friend, the two are of the same height so it was easy for Jen to tap the top of Amber's head as she said “come on, if this doesn’t work out, we’ll sort for other options, okay" then the two hugged, a beeping sound sounded and Jen excused herself to attend to work while Amber hurried out of the office and out of the company building.

After all the applicants have left Todd called Jen in to pack all their files but he withheld one if the file. He told Jen to contact one of the applicant and ask her to send another passport photograph as soon as possible, Jen said okay and went out to do his bidding immediately,  she dialled Amber and related the message to her, Amber sent in her pass port photograph immediately which Jen printed on her behalf and took it to Todd in order to attach it to Amber's file, Todd showed indifference to the file when Jen was in the office but as soon as she stepped out he grabbed the file and looked at the passport photograph, the face is the same, oval face, soft blue eyes, mole at the right corner of her mouth, was it fate or was he hallucinating, he had often dreamt of that face bit never came across any one with that face, it never occurred to him that it wasn’t just the pigment of his imagination but that the face was real until he looked up into her soft blue eyes today and he was mesmerised by her beauty, she has her quirks and he could tell she was struggling with her level of confidence , her clothe was rumpled and she was stylishly tugging at it all through the interview, he could afford to study her calmly because she did all she could to avoid his gaze, it was time to get to know Miss Amber Curt he though and called the Human resources department to let them know of his decision. When he finished with the call, his personal phone rang and he picked immediately after checking the caller “okay, get your hands on the footage" he said and hung up.
