“The same symptoms appeared to be on the other corpses, which led us to suspect poisoning. However, the autopsy failed to confirm this theory, and we found no evidence of poisoning.” Lance explained as he shook his head.

He sighed and continued his statement, “I suggest that we wrap this up.”

I glanced at the corpse, feeling disheartened. “No, we can't just wrap this up,” I said, frustration evident in my voice. “What if there's another death case related to this in the future? Will you just keep sweeping it under the rug, forgetting about it like it never happened?”

Lance turned, staring at me. I stared back at him with my head held high as my mind raced with thoughts.

‘I won't allow anyone to wrap this up. The murderer deserves to be punished.’
