Chapter 25

The wound I dealt with somehow. There was a lot of blood, but I managed to stitch it up, and then put some bandages over it. Cleaning the wound hurt the most, but iodine doesn't care. It's just there to kill cells.

The other four I managed to text yesterday, Sunday. I got home after an hour. I had to switch between jogging and walking because I was so much in pain. The morphine had begun to wear off when I entered my neighborhood, so I had to take another shot in the bushes of a public library.

But what scared me the most was the fact that I spilled some blood on my way home. If anybody got ahold of that there could be some major tracking. But luckily it rained yesterday. I can only hope nobody found it.

Sitting in Pike's car as we drive to school, Ves and Mia keep trying to pry open my shirt and see the wound. Mia is an expert field medic, but Ves isn't, so I don't feel inclined in showing her my wound.
