7: I am the Rejected Mate

Alpha Sae glared at the man in front of him. He is Beta Ben from the other packs and one of his enemies in terms of business. Beta Ben will always find a way to make Alpha Sae's business go bankrupt but every time he does, he always fails. He was lucky that he was good at hiding evidence which is why Alpha Sae couldn't arrest him.

"Out of my sight, Beta Ben. You dare to step foot in my territory?"

"Oh, sorry. I was just here to buy some bread. I don't have any intention to fight with an Alpha like you, Alpha Sae." He was irritated at hearing Beta Ben's voice so he growled a bit causing Beta Ben's body hair to rise and immediately give him a way to get out in front of him.

Alpha Sae started walking still holding Denise's to look at him but Beta Ben just smirked looking at her. He could smell an omega in her. "I guess something interesting will happen starting now. The Alpha who is known for ignoring women now had a woman by his side. What's more surprising? She is an omega."

They now finished eating lunch and after that, they headed to the company building as they held a shareholder's meeting. As of now, Alpha Sae still holds 75% shares of the company which means he has overall control of the company.

Denise was with Beta Dane sitting in the corner as one by one, all of the shareholders entered the room. Right after they take a step into the room, they can sense and smell DenDenis becoming shy whenever they stop and look at her. "Do you want to go outside for a while? I will accompany you if you're not comfortable with them." Denise nodded and looked at Alpha Sae. After he smiled, they went outside and that is where Denise could breathe

"In a room filled with Betas is scary as hell!" Denise exclaimed causing Beta Dane to speak.

"Am I scary too, Miss Denise?"

"No, of course not! You're very nice, Beta Dane. I am glad that you are Alpha Saerrus' right-hand man. He is good in choosing a trusted person." Beta Dane smiles after hearing it.

"You are good at making a person flattered, Miss Denise."

They have been talking for minutes already and since the meeting was about to begin they come back since Denise will serve as a secretary for this day since Alpha Sae's secretary is out for a day off now. Right after Denise took a step from the room, all of them began to look at her again and what drew her attention more was a man at the left side. Beta Allan, her first mate rejected her because of her position as an omega.

"What are you doing here, Denise?" Beta Allan asks her but Denise just shuts her mouth and doesn't pay attention to him. Alpha Sae was confused as to what was happening and why Beta Allan knew her.

"Who is he, Denise?" Denise was now standing beside Alpha Sae staring at Beta Allan but Alpha Sae noticed how silent Denise was so he just shook his head and told them to begin the meeting.

The meeting was going on and Denise was taking notes of everything they had said. Beta Allan was surprised to see how good Denise was at taking down notes, she she every important word, and she wrote it perfectly even Alpha Sae. As far as they know, Omegas are not intelligent and not wise enough to do what high-ranking wolves can do. That is why Omegas are only for doing house chores or to become their maid as that is what they only know. But Denise breaks it. Because of her, she has shown them that an Omega like her could also do it like what they are doing.

The meeting ended well and everyone is now leaving. Denise was about to leave the room to take some water outside when Beta Allan held her arms causing her to stop. Alpha Sae sees it. "What are you doing, Beta Allan? Get your hands off her arms. I am warning you."

Beta Allan slowly removes his grip on Denise's hands and looks at Alpha Sae. "How did you know her, Alpha Sae? She is an omega! Why did you give her work that an Omega should not be doing? Also, she is Alpha Jack's slave, isn't she? Why is she here?"

"Didn't you see how everything was in the meeting? She did it perfectly and also it is not your problem if I let her do what a secretary can do, right? And why did you know about her as a slave of Alpha Jack? Are you connected with him?" Beta Allan gulps after hearing those questions.

Beta Allan has now secretly served Alpha Jack for years and Alpha Sae didn't know about it. He is one of Alpha Jack's spies in his company and if ever Alpha Sae knows about it, he would be dead by now. "Why aren't you answering, Beta Allan?"

"I saw her when I visited Alpha Jack in his mansion for business purposes, Alpha Sae." Denise wanted to interrupt and tell Alpha Sae everything that he does in Alpha Jack's mansion. She didn't think that Beta Allan was also one of his packs when all she knew was that he was serving Alpha Jack.

"Is that so? But the way you hold her arms is different. Tell me the truth, Beta Allan." He presses his lips and looks at Denise who is also staring at him. He was afraid that Denise might tell Alpha Sae about him being a spy so he tried to warn her using his eyes causing Denise to glare at him.

"I saw it."

Alpha Sae immediately went to where Beta Allan was with his speed and choked and pinned him to the wall. "How dare you glare like that to my mate!?" His eyes widen after hearing it but he can't speak as Alpha Sae keeps on choking him. "Tell me, who are you to Denise!? Did you also do something wrong to her, huh!?" Alpha Sae released him from his hands causing Beta Allan to fall to the ground and coughing.

He looks at Denise at first before replying. "She was my mate before and I rejected her."
