Chapter 11 - Wedding Days (Part 2)

Contrary to what I imagined, the days were passing quickly and gradually Catherine and I were adapting to our new reality. Although our differences were glaring, we had not yet come into conflict for anything, and as much as it was clear the dissatisfaction of the other when I left the night to meet Stella in her apartment, Catherine said nothing. She didn’t even ask where I was going or what time I was coming home, just kept quiet. Part of me was upset by the awkward situation, but I didn’t want to live for work and home, so I thought it was fair to go out and have fun with friends.

However I could not deny that every day I was a little more enchanted by the sweet way of the woman who shared that house with me. Gradually I knew a little more of Catherine and it was not as if it was possible to be indifferent. She was a very attentive companion, always showing concern if I had fed or needed something before we slept.
