Chapter 55

Isabella opened her eyes with the rays of the sun shining down on her face. She scanned the room she was in and realized she was in her own room. She tried to move her body and get up but she could feel her body was heavy and sore.

Then she felt someone holding her right hand. When she look at her side she saw Erik sleeping soundly beside her.

She tried to retrieve her hand gently, trying not to wake him up. But with just a little movement,he woke up and squeezed her hand. Erik slowly opened his eyes. He looked at her gently and his mouth curved up in a wonderful smile.

"Good morning sleeping beauty." Erik said to Isabella.

"G-Good morning." She greeted him back.

Erik just woke up but he looked even more handsome in the morning light.

"How are you feeling?" He asked her.

"I feel that my body is sore all over." She confessed. "It aches if I move even just a bit."

"Stay still for a while. I will tell Maggie to call Dr Crane to come over." Erik said then he stepped outside the room.
