Lola - on the morning of Thursday, the 29th

I woke in the morning to find Justine holding me, typing away on the phone. It’s a glorious feeling to be in her arms. Thinking about yesterday, I still can’t believe what happened. It’s over with Nathan.

I broke up with him, and he beat me worse than ever. His cheating is furthest from my mind because of all the bruises. Now, I’m shamefully hiding away from him and the world.

However, like the mysterious heroes they are, Justine and Damien saved me last night. They didn’t press or make me feel like this was my fault. All I know is that I don’t feel as broken after being with them yesterday.

A ding from Justine’s phone brings me back to her warm embrace. She’s texting frantically and doesn’t notice I’m awake. I kiss and nuzzle her neck, trailing my nose in her skin.
