Into the dense misty night sky of the blissful evening, a chattering raven flew to the throne of an ancient war god and reported about the existence of a man with an unknown origin. In the eyes of the raven, this man's archery skills have transcended beyond the level of any mortal on the face of the earth.

The chattering raven, bound by his habit, did what he knew the best. Seeing that his most loyal scout couldn't stop singing, the praises of a mere human intrigued the ancient war god.

Almost immediately, the Ancient War God slid to the edge of his throne. Now he wanted to see the skills of this man. However, he soon found out that Kvoth does not indulge in battle because he made a promise to his little brother that he would never indulge in any kind of battle.
