Growing up, almost every girl is her parents' little princess. It is even more so in this era of one child is more than enough ‘work’. 

When that one child is well behaved, does well in academics, on top of that, gets into a good university? pampering, praising and spoiling reach a new height, where their little princess evolves right into a selfish little princess not quite aware that the world doesn’t revolve around her. 

Some learn it in their first year as they look at their classmates.
