Chapter Fifty One

"So how have you been?"I asked my dad as we sat down on the chair at the party taking place at the garden.

"I am fine but I haven't been myself lately, I think of you every day and night." He said.

"Really, dad?" I asked him.

"Yes." He smiled.

"I miss that rare smile." I told him sincerely.

"I thought you were angry at him. I never knew you would embrace me like you did the other time." He told me.

"I was angry at you but I couldn't hold myself back when I saw you. I heard you embrace me." I confessed.

"I am so sorry, Irina." He apologized. Who knew a cold-hearted do like him can be this apologetic.

"I have forgiven you already, dad." I told him.

One of his men came and whispered in his ear.

He stood up abruptly.

"I am coming, Irina. I need to finish some work." With that, he left.

"I was having a good time with him." I muttered to myself.

I stood up and went out of the garden to the lake side where I sat down enjoying the silence except for the sound coming from the party.
