Kiara:
“Why is my father calling?” I asked frowning, Alexei shrugged in confusion and I frowned looking at Nikolay to find him sharing the same frown, both of us heading out of the bedroom to his office.
Nikolay picked up his office’s phone and put the call on speaker “speak”
“Is that a way to greet your father-in-law?” Dad asked sarcastically, I didn’t speak as Nikolay motioned for me not to make a sound.
“What do you want?” Nikolay asked, I knew why he was angry with him, having heard of everything he’s done with me all the years I was growing up, and how he had abused mum as well, Nikolay HATED men who took advantage of women against their wills, he saw it as a weakness in the man, and he was right, it was a weakness, seeing that a woman was weaker than any man was, especially one of a mafia. Dad never hesitated though, he constantly saw himself as stronger and always wanted to prove him
Nikolay: “Good morning princess” I smiled putting my arms either side of Kiara’s head, I had been awake for almost an hour, but since we had slept late and Kiara had fallen asleep being worried and stressed because of her father, I let her sleep in while I finished some work I had to get done. “Morning” Kiara smiled opening her eyes, she looked at me to find me leaning in over her, slowly kissing her cheeks, forehead, and finally her lips making her smile. “How’d you sleep?” I asked softly, she rubbed her sleepy eyes and sat up, exhaustion was drawn all over her features, I had to admit that I didn’t like seeing what I was, but I couldn’t do anything about it right now, I knew the reason and I couldn’t blame her for it. I distracted her for now, but it was a mere for now thing, she would end up thinking of the safety of her mother the minute she was alone, it was only normal that she did. “Good, and you? When did you wake up anyway?” She asked pointin
Kiara:“I don’t eat olives Nikolay” I said making a face as he tried handing me a piece of bread having green munched olives spread over them, it was true, I was hungry, but I wouldn’t put olives in my mouth if I starved, it was a silent rule I had, it and raw tomatoes were two things that I didn’t eat, at all, call me a child but I couldn’t taste them.“Why not?” Nikolay asked raising an eyebrow, I shook my head making a disgusted face as Nikolay extended the piece of bread to me, he chuckled at my behavior and I raised an eyebrow wanting to know what was funny in me not liking them “you’re acting like a child fearing broccoli”“I don’t fear olives!” I said playfully glaring at him, he smirked and raised an eyebrow at me, both of us had gone to the VIP lounge of the hotel and were having lunch there “I just don’t like its taste”“Sure” Nikola
Nikolay:I read through the papers I had on the desk while Kiara sat on the couch reading a book on her tablet. I smiled at the sight of her being beside me both of us being in one place when we were forced apart for so long, and it killed me to admit, but it was partly my fault that we were apart in the first place.I had made her choose between me and her family when I wouldn’t have even considered thinking of doing the same thing if she ever put me in the same situation, getting up from my seat I walked to the mini fridge and got ice from the freezer filling two glasses with ice the pouring whiskey and walking toward Kiara and handing her a glass sitting beside her and wrapping my arm around her.“What are you reading?” I asked kissing her cheek.“Sherlock Holmes” Kiara answered laying her head over my chest, she didn’t close the app she was reading on though she took a sip of her drink, my fingers intertwining as I
Kiara:“How’d you enjoy the night?” Nikolay asked me as I walked out of the bathroom putting the dress inside the closet.I was thankful for Maddie who saved my bum and prepared a few fancy dresses for me when Nikolay called her and told her that we were staying for a few nights. I was wearing black shorts and Nikolay’s black V-neck t-shirt. It had his cologne smell on it and I found myself loving the fact of wearing his comfortable clothes. The shirt reached my mid thigh covering my shorts, but I didn’t mind as I messed up my hair before going to sit beside Nikolay who was sitting on the couch waiting for me.Crossing my legs over the couch and resting my back on the armrest looking at my husband who raised an eyebrow at me. He was yet to change out of his suit and I had a feeling that he was going out anyway, but I didn’t bother asking when he was coming back or where he was going, first, if he wanted to tell me then he woul
Nikolay:“He’s in a bloodlust state” Vladimir told me as we entered the basement where they were holding a man of my own, he had been held captive for a few months, and when he came back something was different about him. It didn’t take long for us to know that he was held captive in a project area, it was an area where they were preparing ruthless soldiers, they brainwashed them, somehow, making them as triggers. The project was one that we were against as the Russian families, and one of our men was kidnapped once for that project, we tried finding him, and when we did it was too late, they had already brainwashed him into making him get into a bloodlust, there were no signs showing that the man had gone into a lust when you first saw him. The person was perfectly normal, but when getting into kills, one, two, three, one after the other, the person somewhat stopped seeing in front of him, and was suddenly a ruthless killer. You could put him i
Kiara:I laid my head over Nikolay’s chest as he slept. His arm was wrapped around me as his heartbeat was calm, I slowly untangled myself from soft grasp and covered his body before heading to the kitchenette to make myself some coffee. Nikolay pulled me to sleep with him and I woke up having a thousand-ton boxes hitting my head repeatedly, which simply meant that I needed coffee, but the pain of it was unnecessary, like seriously, I could just cave coffee, but no, my head has to be playing unfair. Not to mention my stomach which was also giving me cramps due to having my period, yeah, today was not my day.Taking my coffee in my hand and setting it on the table in the sitting area, I smiled when I saw that Nikolay was still asleep. It must have been a long night on him, I remember having my father stay up for weeks with me as he tried to get me out of the bloodlust state that I was in, I couldn’t believe that I told Nikolay about it, despite not wa
Nikolay:“I see that I’ve found where the young Mrs. had gone of to” Richard Bernard said casually, the man smirked keeping his eyes on my wife who frowned in confusion, the man was supposed to be in England.“What the bloody hell are you doing here?” Kiara asked, anger lacing her voice.“Oh, don’t worry child, I didn’t come here for you, I do believe that this is a grocery store and everyone is welcome here, and if you are referring to New York, I don’t believe that you own it and can stop me from coming here, now can you?” Richard said calmly, my eyes glared at the man, so Caruso was right, Richard was here in the Mafia Safe Hotel, I frowned in confusion wondering how my men hadn’t seen him.“If you are wondering about the state of your men, don’t worry, I haven’t held them captive, Caruso was more a hassle than a benefit if you ask me, therefore I didn’t want to w
Kiara:Ignoring the clench in my chest at Nikolay’s rejection when I entered the house, I started making the spaghetti, smiling at the lovely aura it was giving in the kitchen, Anastas had asked if I needed anything when I first entered the house, but I simply smiled at him and told him to go and rest, I would be calling him IF I needed anything, which in my language, Anastas knew meant, I didn’t want or need your help, thank you for offering.I smiled as the food I was making was ready. Mum had always taught me, a place where a woman cooked, more specifically, where a home meal was made was a happy place. I believed in it, in my opinion it made me smile at least. The house members smiled whenever I did come out helping Leila or Maddie, I couldn’t tell if it was real or not, but I was personally happy doing it.Setting the table, turning on the candles which were on top of it, I wanted to make the night a romantic night, despite Nikolay’s
