Shots Fired

ATHENA’S POV

My mind became alert, and I felt my hand twitch. I hadn’t the slightest idea for how long I had been asleep, but everywhere hurt. I was tired and a few seconds awake, I already wanted to go back to sleep.

There was a lot of chaotic noise in the background that made my head bang. I started to get worried, not expecting that I would get memories from the time I lost my parents. It was something similar and it made my heart drop.

I had forgotten about the reason I was on the bed and without even realising I was already on the edge of the bed, I stood to my feet.

I should have known that I didn’t have strength in my legs as much as I used to. I wobbled my way out of the room with my heart racing seeing as there were people running here and there in panic.

It didn’t take long for me to realize what was going on. I spotted one of them and from the scent too, I could tell it was a rogue attack.
