Chapter 22 Andors perception of the night before

Andors View -

Only on my third bottle of vodka, I was trying to drink away my insecurities. Ashina might reject our mate bond, and I was angry about it. There's no way I can live through a second rejection. I threw the empty vodka bottles at the wall. My heart was wallowing in self-pity.

In the middle of transferring files, I caught the intoxicating scent of my mate. I tried to sound belligerent so I wouldn't have to deal with her anger.

Then, I pretended to see apparitions that weren't there. I acted like I was talking to someone invisible. I pretended to pass out after whining about Ashina not loving me and me looking too hideous. I slammed my head down on the desk pretending to pass out. I didn't mean to cause my own injury when I hit my head on the desk.

At this point, I expected Ashina to leave me alone in my misery, but she came over to me anyways. I peeked out to see why her footsteps were getting closer, then closed my eyes to not alert her.
