Chapter 29 Digging a Moat

What triggered me was my question of why had our witch back at my mountain home not trained me? It may have been because we were hiding from all the wolves, and we wanted everyone to think we had died in the war, as magic leaves a trail. We could not take the chance of being discovered because Malcolm would make sure he would kill us if we were discovered. It is certain that he would be terrified if he knew I was alive because he would fear me creating a rebellion and taking back my parents' Kingdom if he knew I was still alive.

In the end, I realized I was thinking about everything except finding my center. I took a deep breath for the hundredth time of the day. As I sorted the dirt in my fingers again, clearing my mind, turning my hearing into the small pebbles of dirt falling from between my fingers towards the ground, I felt the aura of the dirt slipping from my fingers as it fell towards the ground. Every piece of dirt has its own unique aura.
