Ezio:

I walked out of the bathroom to find the room empty.

Iris had left the room after getting ready when I was in the shower, and I couldn’t help but feel guilty for how the conversation had ended.

I understood her intentions, and I knew that she wanted nothing more than to be my support just like I have been to her. But the idea of having to relive the same pain all over again scared me more than I could imagine. Therefore, rather than coping with it, or speaking to her about it; I chose to hide under both my ignorance and anger.

I ran my fingers through my hair before getting dressed. I had to go check on the pack members who would be waking up in a bit after their shift last night, and knowing that I wouldn’t be seeing my mate for the day didn’t make things any easier for me.
