Chapter 48: The Food Factory

Ava's POV

My newfound freedom had come at the price of increased security outside and inside the mansion.

Miguel was being careful enough to make sure I didn't run away or try anything funny. I guess he didn't really trust that I wouldn't try to run again and who could blame him?

I didn't mind it though. I was quite alright with the way things had turned out even if it meant more security, and more eyes on me. It wasn't like I had any plan to run anyway. I couldn't run even if I wanted to. I was stuck with him until I finished the mission Indira gave me.

I was glad to not be locked in a cage anymore. I finally had the freedom to wander about the mansion whenever I wanted and enjoy walks in the garden as well. It was refreshing, and I felt relieved.

The mission to kill Miguel was also back on track, and it was only a matter of time before I got my chance. With the way things were, I felt pretty optimistic about it. I just needed to find the right opportunity.
