Chapter 215: Abandonment

Bella’s POV

I feel like a fool for anticipating 7pm but I don’t care. I kept stealing glances at my watch, hoping it’ll clock in at seven but time was playing tricks with me. I was bold enough to delude myself that I was this edgy because I was partially jobless. Emily has been discharged and I was currently at her apartment with her.

There wasn't much I was needed for, she was back to normal but I chose to stick around. Amiee already told me not to come home tonight anyway.

“I’ll cook you something, your hands shouldn't touch water”

“Are you going to bathe me too?”

There was an awkward silence before I suddenly raised my voice. “Of course I will!”
