Chapter sixty six: Days with him are numbered

Arya’s POV

Avoiding Nicklaus these past weeks have been quite the hustle but it was certainly necessary. My exams are finally done and I was right when I said Nicklaus is a big pile of distraction, I can’t believe I almost missed my first paper because of him.

Luckily, during my recovering from the gunshot I buried my head in reading. There wasn’t much to do anyways, lying all day was tiring.

Taking a quick glance at my watch, I reminded myself that I still had thirty minutes to wait and I would be lying if I said my butt wasn’t killing me. I’m convinced this bench was made as the bane of my existence but I have to be a good friend and wait till Emily’s exams are over, also it wouldn’t be fun to walk home alone.

Just then my phone buzzed a message while I narrowed my eyes at the alert. I couldn’t help but scoff loudly. Andrew sent a sum of this month’s dividend, it was a huge sum to be honest but he must be twitching if he thinks this will make me give up disowning him.
