I asked a question and there was no reply. Was there something wrong? Or maybe something they were hiding? I didn’t want to say harsh words, but it seemed Ashina flinched when I asked that question.

“Why aren’t you answering? Was he involved?” I asked, yet again, I got no reply from her.

I instantly made my conclusion. He was involved because if he wasn’t, Ashina would have said something. She was blue blood, and yet she wants to protect her brother. She wants to prevent me from knowing the truth.

This was my mother’s death we are talking about here. She was my mother. I never even got to spend time with her because they ended her life. They killed her, they didn't let me bond with her, they didn't let her watch me grow. I can’t even remember how she looked, I only got to know her face through pictures my dad showed me. They really did me bad.
