I returned back to my room feeling sore and totally bruised after Lily had finished dressing the cut on my arm.

With scuffling feet and tensed shoulders, I continued to drag my way to the bathroom and slipped out of my soiled clothes before turning on the heat in the water as high as possible. My eyes darted towards the mirror on the wall after a while and found it covered with steam evaporating from the water already and sighed.

I wasn't exactly sure if I wanted to see my own reflection because I was sure that I'd be looking a total mess.

I took another sigh and let my hands do the thinking for me as it reached over and wiped it slightly with my left palm,and almost cringed at the face staring right back at me.

Damn, I looked almost anything but myself. Bruised cheeks and cracked lips and dark visible circle around the eyes seemed like the new appealing features on my body not to mention how awful I feel on the inside.
